Gaga over Gaga
For the past days, all I see on my facebook feed is Lady Gaga. From her being engaged to the hottie Taylor Kinnie to her performance at the Oscars. Definitely, she's the talk of the whole universe. Why wouldn't she be? She's just simply AH-MAZING. I have been her fan the moment those Blonde Full Bangs danced around the Poker Face video. I know from the start that she's a great artist even with her unusual style and crazy video concepts. She's great period, full stop. And this Sound of Music Medley of her has just proven everyone that she's one of the greatest artists of our generation. Besides the fact that she's dang sexy and beautiful.

Fall Out Boy: American Psycho/ American Beauty
I never thought that it has been over a year now since the release of "Save Rock and Roll" album of Fall Out Boy - one of my favourite rock bands of all time. It has been over a year of head-banging with the tunes of Phoenix, My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark, Alone Together and Just One Yesterday to name a few. This time, let's once again bang our heads with the band's new album, American Psycho / America Beauty.
Kudos to this band for releasing a new album of great songs. Haha, I sound like a total fan in here. I am a proud F.O.B fan but I am not the only one. Well, well, well, the album earned the number one in the Billboard 200 after its release. That means one thing - it's a great album. Let's get start with a Big Hero 6 soundtrack, Immortals. Yup, it's from them.
And a few songs from the album. Can't wait to get a hold of this album soon.

My Fave Christmas Glee
It's this time again of the year when Christmas Carols are being played everywhere. I never get tired of singing my hearts out to the tune of Jingle Bell Rock, Jingle Bells, Let is Snow and a whole bunch of carols. Though I am out of tune at times, I still need to belt out a Mariah Carey note as it's Christmas, simple. For those of my friends who are tired of hearing me sing these jingles, good thing the popular musical TV Series always sing these songs during this season and keeping the melody intact but still beautifully new to our ears.
Here are some of my favorite songs rendered beautifully by the blended voice of Rachel, Kurt, Blaine and the rest of the Glee Cast of McKinley High.

Panic Monday: Boys Like Girls
Panic Monday is back and one of the things that keeps my cool is Music. Particularly those that you do head bang with. And please do not stereotype me with heavy eyeshadows, piercings and tats. Though they look sexy as hell, I'm no way near being a rocker. (Guess, I'm the one stereotyping now, ooooops!).
Anyway, one of the bands that I listen to and love is Boys Like Girls. From the moment I heard of their first single, the Great Escape, I have been an avid fan of them. It's just the lyrics and the beat I guess.
So, here are my all-time favorites from this band. I am literally banging my head now to keep my sanity in check.

LSS: Regina Spektor
It has been a while since I last shared a song in this site. Work has been eating my creative juices and my time lately thus having no time at all to even listen to a soothing song. But even if I didn't have time to put on my headphones and turn on my Ipod, I have been humming two classic songs of Regina Spektor. At no particular reason, I have been singing these two songs quite often these past few weeks.
Let these songs capture your soul and let her beautiful voice serenade you.

I Admit to Like These
You know when you like a very popular song but don't want to admit wanting it? It's because the rest of the world wants the song, and you want to be cool not liking it. HAHA, I hate to admit it, but I sometimes pretend not liking a particular song that is all over the radio/spotify all because the rest of the world loves it. Here's one guilty person. But right now, I am admitting to this crime and revealing the songs I secretly loved when they became hits, and still love until today.

If We Listen Carefully
Sometimes
we love songs with upbeat melody and we never care of the lyrics. I seldom
commit this crime because lyrics are more important to me than melody. But this
crime is often committed by many especially when the melody is damn great. Here
are some songs worth listening again and this time, take time to listen and understand
the message of it. You will surely love them more.
There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are
She said, 'cause He made you perfect, babe
So hold your head up,
girl and you'll go far
Bonnie Bailey & Ever After
Lady
Gaga & Born This Way
There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are
She said, 'cause He made you perfect, babe
So hold your head up,
girl and you'll go far
TI, Rihanna & Live Your Life
So live your life, hey
You steady chasin' that paper
Just live your life, oh
Ain't got no time for no haters
You steady chasin' that paper
Just live your life, oh
Ain't got no time for no haters
Bonnie Bailey & Ever After
And now we're slightly weathered, we're slightly worn
Our hands grip together, eye to eye through the storm, yet
I still believe in ever after with you, yeahhhhh
Cuz life is a pleasure with you by my side,
And there ain't no current in this river we can't ride
I still believe in ever after with you
Our hands grip together, eye to eye through the storm, yet
I still believe in ever after with you, yeahhhhh
Cuz life is a pleasure with you by my side,
And there ain't no current in this river we can't ride
I still believe in ever after with you

Adam: But are we all lost stars?
I thought I got over Adam Levine getting married. But like all of his fans, it would take much longer to accept that fact especially when we start listening to some of his great songs. I guess I am part of the first fan generation of Maroon 5. I was kinda digging This Love and me liking a song during my Meteor Garden days meant that the song's THAT GREAT! (somebody's got my attention apart from the F4.)
Anyway, here are some of his new songs from the movie Begin Again. The movie featured Maps, a new single from Maroon 5. I am now excited for Maroon 5's V album. I'm so sure it will be awesome just like any other albums of this band.

Pentatonix: A Cappella Meets Beat Box
I am always in awe every time I get to listen to popular songs being performed in A cappella beautifully. I mean the instruments give that 50% of the beauty of a song and a group would take the challenge of stripping the song down and still making it beautiful without the instruments, just the blend of their voices. I always have goosebumps listening to these kind of songs. No other words to describe that feeling. Then there's the beat boxing. If A cappella is singing the song without the instruments for the melody, beat boxing is singing the melody without the words. This is a talent not everyone can do. I tried doing it, I only ended up spewing a load of saliva; never did it again. Listening to one performing kinda amazes me, I mean who wouldn't be amazed by that?
Anyway, here's a group that does both at the same time and they are awesome. They are the Pentatonix. If you haven't heard any of their songs, here are some that would blow your mind. Super amazeballs!

Jason Mraz: Everywhere
The album is out and I am loving it. And let me present to you my most favorite song in the album. It's EVERYWHERE. Dang, this song is sooooo good - the lyrics are heart-warming; the melody is catchy and oh boy! Raining Jane and Jason Mraz' collaboration is exceptional. I am excited to share with you this AH-MAZING song.
If I wasn't a ghost
I couldn't walk into you
If I wasn't the snow
how could I fall for you?
If I wasn't a songbird
how could I call to you?
If I wasn't a fly on the wall
I wouldn't know all about you
I'm everything in everywhere
Can you see me in your own reflection?
I'm deep within the molecules of the air that you breathe
And all the subatomic supersonic spaces in between
I'm everywhere
I'm reaching out in every direction
I believe I'm in the water too
'cause you act just like you need me
I'm everywhere
If I wasn't the fire
how could you stoke me up inside?
If I wasn't a party
how could you be the life of me?
If I wasn't a camera
how could you be so photogenic? Yeah I said it
If I wasn't the hands on the clock
how could you know that the time was right, tonight?
I'm everything in everywhere
Can you see me in your own reflection?
I'm deep within the molecules of the air that you breathe
And all the subatomic supersonic spaces in between
I'm everywhere
I'm reaching out in every direction
I believe I'm in the water too
'cause you act just like you need me
I got a mind like a spy on a satellite checking you out
I'm like a fly with my infinite eyes
I can see with all my senses and I'm coming to get you
I'm invisible, expendable
and omnipresent
I'm everywhere
can you see me in your own reflection?
I'm deep within the molecules of the air that you breathe
And all the subatomic supersonic spaces in between
I'm everywhere
I'm reaching out in every direction
I believe I'm in the water too
'cause you act just like you need me
I'm everywhere
I'm everywhere
I'm everywhere
I'm everywhere

All of Me
I just need to share this song to everyone even if most of you already know this. I have been hearing this song even last year but the first time I really listened to it was two weeks back. And damn, the song's AH-MAZING. Heartfelt couldn't even describe it perfectly. It's a song that would stick forever. I am joking with a friend that this is the song for weddings for this year. The melody is so simple, yet the lyrics are captivating. And for many days now, I've been listening to good covers and of course the original. Be in love with the song, 'cause, I have.
Here's one amazing song by the legendary John Legend, All of Me.

Jason Mraz: 3 Things
Here is 3 Things by Jason Mraz. Enjoy!
3 Things
There are three things I do when my life falls apart
Number one, I cry my eyes out and dry up my heart
Not until I do this will my new life start
So that’s the first thing that I do when my life falls apart
The second thing I do is I close both of my eyes
And say my thank yous to each and every moment of my life
I go where I know the love is and let it fill me up inside
Gathering new strength from sorrow
I’m glad to be alive
And things are looking up
I know above the clouds the sun is shining
Things are looking up
Love is still the answer I’m relying on
Alright
Three little things
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Things are looking up
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
The third thing that I do, now, when my world caves in
Is I pause, I take a breath and bow and I let the chapter end
I design my future bright, not by where my life has been
And I try, try, try, try, try again
Yes, I try, try, try, try, try again
Things are looking up
I know beyond the dark the sun is rising
Things are looking up
I know above the clouds the sun is shining
Things are looking up
Love is still the answer I’m relying on
Three little things
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Three little things
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Just a few days and YES! will be available. I am excited to spend one day to hear the whole album and spend the days after appreciating the songs. It's gonna be the playlist of the month, that's for sure. Better gear up my ipod classic for that.

Panic Monday
It’s
Monday and I am panicking. I am not exaggerating, I am back to my old habit (or
how I always call it, defense mechanism – nail biting). I know it’s not good
but hell, I need extra support right now to maintain my cool. I am a bit stressed
out and I am freaking out. Yeah, corporate world can be stressful sometimes (at
least mine is just “sometimes”). The
stressor for this week is the fact that I don’t have everything finalized for
the event I am organizing and it will be next week. Let’s just say that I can breathe
freely if I have everything finalized this week.
As the panic continues to rise, concentration to work fades away. And that’s the last thing I want to do – not work cause that’s all I need to do. Hahah I am a bit dramatic, I know. It’s just work and I can do it.
Anyway, music has helped me to regain my cool and to work properly. So here are the songs that I sing quietly on my mind to help me relax and stay focused. Well, I need the powerhouse, upbeat pop songs right now. I apologize for the old songs, they are too dance-y and I need 'em now. You can listen to them if you like.

I Feel Good
I
am probably reaching the late 20’s age since I am contented with the songs on
my iPod. It’s not like I despise all the songs of today – there are really good
ones (and once in a while I play ‘em on Spotify), but I can’t forego the songs
I used to sing when I was in my teenage years – and I can say that the songs of
my generation have beautiful lyrics that can last forever. I will probably be
listening and singing these songs even if I am already at the age of fifty and hopefully
my iPod will still be there with me.
In this Blog entry, I will share some of my favourite songs of all-time. Don't worry, I am not sharing the rocker side yet, just those feel-good songs that can make me smile in an instant. These are some of the songs I usually play whenever I am happy or I want to be happy. So enjoy and……….be happy.

I feel with The Fray
I am all about listening to meaningful songs. Come on, most of the lyrics of the songs now compose of Yeahs, Ohs, and Ahs. If there are real words in it, they don't mean anything at all. What does the fox say? Ning Ning Ning... Huh? Anyway, I am not bashing this song or any song of that theme, I am just saying that only few artists now compose songs depicting real emotions and real feelings of the heart. I'm being "emo" at the start of the week, but it's all because of that five year old ipod of mine that had randomly selected The Fray 's How to Save A life as my song of the day. So here I am, sharing a rock group with songs that will make you feel more. Because I do, and will always do.
The Fray is an American rock band from Denver, Colorado. Formed in 2002 by schoolmates Isaac Slade and Joe King, they achieved success with the release of their debut album, How to Save a Life in 2005, which was certified double platinum by the RIAA and platinum in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. The Fray achieved national success with their first single, "Over My Head (Cable Car)", which became a top ten hit in the United States. The release of their second single, "How to Save a Life", brought the band worldwide fame. The song charted in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 and was a top 5 single in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom
Here are some of my personal favorites from this band (well, mostly are those that hit the chart)
