Coming Now: Behind the Scenes

Calling my friend to start editing the photos. Yes! Due to his dual profession of being in the field and being a photographer, I know it would take loooooooong for him to start (not even finish) the professional editing of my photographs in the shoot we did last January. But then again, the raw photos are great enough to be published. I will be a bit rebellious and post another one today.

He may have no time to edit the photos, but he has the time to create a video of the behind the scenes footage. From make-up to poses - or at least that's the concept. We didn't have a crew to do everything for us, just me and him. Well, not a full footage of course, we still needed to do the shoot. But some head shots and eye shots (if there is a word like that) for the video. Thanks Yven for the shoot and the video. Next time, it will be better.

Hope you enjoy. And let us know what you think about it.

ANA shoot BTS from Yven Aldover on Vimeo.

You like his work? Send me a message and I will surely hook you up with him for incredible photoshoot and BTS. He does events too.

Repost: Loving Yourself Isn't the Whole Picture

Love is a state of being, a state of giving, a state of non-judgment, of awareness, of compassion and of "action."
It's a tricky thing, love; it's all about balance.
On the one hand it's not healthy to be so unconditional with your loving that you give everything away and have nothing left, or even worse, tolerate abuse.
And, on the other hand, it's not healthy to be so selfish that the only person you care about is you.
It's a fine line. I like to think of this way:
I like to be unconditional with my love in that I try not to judge other people and show up for them, but I have boundaries. I love people and nothing brings me more joy than showing up for people that I love. I love seeing people I care for thrive, be happy and live their dreams and their purpose. I thrive when those I love thrive. But, when I step out of self-care so much that there is nothing left for me to give, I know that I have entered into an unhealthy state and I pull back and focus on my self-care again.
At the same time, I am consciously self-ish. Not selfish. Self-ish.
To me that means I am self-focused enough to know that there are things I have to do for myself, not because I am self-centered, egotistical or a narcissist, but because it's my job to keep my own cup full. And I know that when my cup is full I have more to give away to those I love and to the amazing seekers in "The Daily Love" community.
There is no finite rule about how to do this. It's a balance that we all must learn and that is very personal to each person.
In extremes -- we can be martyrs with our love or narcissists. The goal is to be in the middle. The "Middle Path" is the goal.
Your love for someone shouldn't be measure by how much you are willing to suffer for them. And your love for yourself should not be so short sighted as to only include you, because on a spiritual Level, your brothers and sisters on this planet are all a part of you. We are one from a spiritual Point of view. To love only yourself is to miss out on the richness of life and loving other people. But to only love other people and not yourself is a setup for a breakdown.
Find your own intuitive way today to love yourself and to also love others. Find the balance and make it your intention to live The Middle Path.

Movie: Endless Love

Ok, so I watched it for one reason and that is (who is, rather) Alex Pettyfer. I have been a fan of him since the movie I am Number Four – damn! It’s given that he’s got the looks and the body that can make the girls drool over, but partner it with that very sexy English accent? Ohlala, can somebody wake me up from this daydream? Haha, enough of the fantasy, let me tell you about this movie called Endless Love.
In this adaptation of the 1979 novel by Scott Spencer, passion yields to tragedy when the parents of a privileged girl (Gabriella Wilde) attempt to thwart her heated romance with a handsome valet (Alex Pettyfer).

Honestly, this movie is your typical love story. The boy has a crush on a girl. The love story of a rich girl with a poor guy. Parents being against their love affair. The boy having a dark past. Every plot you see in every love story ever made in the past decade. But then again, for all the hopeless romantics out there, I, myself, included, it is still a good movie to warm your hearts in this month of love. A perfect love story to watch with your girlfriend or if you get to convince your better half to accompany you.

In Summary: Alex Pettyfer being hunkier than before is worth the dollars you spent for the movie ticket.

I apologize for letting you see the fan in me. HAHA

The Voice Season 6 is Back

I have been a fan of only one singing competition in the US and that is – THE VOICE. Six seasons in less than 3 years! That’s one big achievement. Even bigger is the fact that it’s franchised all over the world – but nothing tops the original of course. Anyway, with chairs turning, and awesome turners/coaches/judges, definitely you must start watching the newest season that will be aired today (US time).

To entice you with how exciting this season will be, here are some oh so good teasers. Can’t wait to start this week right with an awesome hour of blinds.

The Follow-Up: Happy Being Me

Okay, I have the urge to do a follow-up entry about the topic I have posted yesterday. With the concern I have received from all my dear friends and loved ones, I may need to elaborate more on that one sentence in the last paragraph - "I am not sorry to be me".  I am happy with who I am, and I am happy with my life.

I am not your Damsel in Distress and I am proud to be a superwoman. With what life threw on me, I learned at an early age how to deal with problems. With the opportunity here in another country, I learned how to be independent. With the loss of my mother, I learned to value life more. I never regretted the learnings behind those milestones, because at the end of the day I know these made me who I am now - a strong woman who can deal with life and appreciate every moment of it.

I never back down to challenges and I am proud to be successful. I see challenges as opportunities to be better. I see arguments as a way to see the bigger picture and see the other side of the story. I see things positively. I am proud to have this positive outlook in life, because it's what makes my world a better place.

I am proud to be truthful. I may be tactless at times, but who I am is who I am. I may need to work on the filter, but believe me when I say, what you see in me is who I really am. An open book as what others say. I express my thoughts and you can always see my soul in my eyes.

I may mess up, I already told you about it. But at the end of the day, I feel good about myself. And I know that I am happy with my life right now and happy to be learning about others too. The sorry is for all those who can't see through me. If you see only the surface - tagging me as tactless without knowing me; tagging me as inconsiderate without analyzing me - then you can go ahead and miss the opportunity to be part of my Happy Inner Circle. Because I am telling you, it's helluva fun to have me in your life. Right my dear friends?

Sorry if I Couldn’t Be “The One” Right Now

I have never been in love. There I said it. Really, I know love and I am willing to love and be loved. But I have never been romantically in love.  With that being said, I apologize if I can’t be the ideal girl you are looking for right now. I have a lot of experiences in life – from happiness to struggle to even loss but I am inexperienced with loving another person romantically.

I may appear to be a strong person who doesn't need a man in her life. Forgive me for having this stance, if you know what life threw on me, you would know exactly the reason why.  But that doesn’t mean that I don’t long for someone who will hold my hands in the future when I face another struggle. I want to be with someone who will never leave me in those times.

Forgive me if I never back down to challenges for I was raised to deal with them and see them positively. We may have a lot of discussions and different points of view and I will spend hours debating my point, but you should know that I just want you to understand me too. It’s not because I want you to accept what I think of, it’s just that I want to voice out my opinion to the extent of being tactless at times.  But that doesn't mean that I will not accept your point. I accept your point but like what I have said, I just want you to see what my point is.

Forgive me if sometimes I am inconsiderate of your feelings and wants. Please know that when I am comfortable with you I say what is really in my mind and heart. If we are not close friends, I may be careful with how I deal with you. In some way I know it’s wrong that I forget how you feel when we are closer to one another. But with you, I know I can be my true self and I want you to be in your true element too. With that being said, if ever I hurt your feelings or if I upset you, please let me know because in my mind I thought you would understand. But that doesn't mean that I mean to hurt you. I would never mean to directly hurt people, especially you.

See! I will mess up big time. I am clueless with how to be your ideal girl. I am inexperienced. I am tactless. But I am learning. With each negative point you are giving me, I am giving a positive point to learning. I am a novice in this department and 100% sure that books could not help me on this. If you could not wait any longer (which I hope you will), I am sorry for not being your ideal girl. But I am not sorry for being me. Because someday, I will be better and someone will think of me being his “one”.

Throwback: Happy in Davao

I just had a great night last night – so this throwback is in some way will be about a great time of my life. Back in 2011, I had this bucket list I made on my birthday. The list was composed of the things I want to do for that year and one of the things included there was a local trip to somewhere in the Philippines – probably the Visayas / Mindanao Region so I could take a domestic flight . You see, I had a sister in Singapore so at that time, all of my trips were bound to Singapura.

I was lucky to have spontaneous friends to join me in my first trip and no need to tell how I felt about it. It was helluva fun. We didn’t have much of sleep and could not check in early but it really was a trip to remember.  By the way, we went to Davao City (less than 2 hours flight). Touring the city alone could take up your weekend – being the largest city in the country with of course a variety of places to visit.

It was just a weekend getaway but ‘twas one of my firsts to remember.

Here’s a video of the entire trip my dear friend made. I hope you guys enjoy this and be interested in visiting the place too. Awesome City!

When in Singapore: Old Chang Kee Delights

I have to stop salivating ‘cause I can’t start writing this entry. Yes! Doing this entry is a bit difficult because I am imagining how mouth-melting these goodies-on-stick are. Ohlala, those fried sotongs for a very affordable price – how can you resist that?! Or my favorite – the Chicken Wrap on stick, dang! Just thinking about it makes my tummy growl. I want one! Really, like right now.

Old Chang Kee is a local favorite since year 1956. Like any other success stories, this store started with a humble beginning – the curry puff. Singaporeans would travel all the way to Mackenzie Road (the original store) to taste the Rex Puff. Then as the years go by, this brand has become one of Singapore’s Pride. Their products are not only being loved by locals, even foreigners are being captivated by these goodies. You can find one almost everywhere – from the malls to train stations.

An easy to-go before you start your day; a bite in the middle of your stressful day; or just simply satisfying your craving for fried food.At any time of the day, you can eat it and at any time of the day, it will surely satisfy you.

So I gotta go,  I need to satisfy my craving. Need to rush to one of their stores now.

Book: Point of Retreat (Slammed #2)

I am not yet finished with reviewing Colleen Hoover’s Slammed Series. Yes! It is a series and I intend to write about the entire series of three books  to share with the world. I know, I know. I am such a fan but the series is so good I can’t help but spend time writing about it. If I’m not busy with a new activity that I am trying I would not take a second thought of reading the series again.

So here goes the continuation of the love story of Layken and Will. After all their efforts of fighting what they feel to one another, at long last they gave up and started to be together. But in the course of their relationship, an old flame reappeared and this tested their love. And will Lake stop carving pumpkins for her to see how much Will loves her? It is for you to find out. Go buy the series, I promise some heartfelt contemporary romance novella that you will surely enjoy (if you enjoy this type of readings of course)

Layken and Will have proved their love can get them through anything; until someone from Will’s past re-emerges, leaving Layken questioning the very foundation on which their relationship was built. Will is forced to face the ultimate challenge…how to prove his love for a girl who refuses to stop ‘carving pumpkins

Meg and Dia in Singapore 2014

The first concert for year 2014. You probably don't know who they are. Well, Dia's from the first season of my favourite singing competition in the United States - The Voice. She was the very first singer to join a competition with a unique tune. Come on! What we consider to be good singers are the ones with the vocal power and can belt out Mariah Carey songs. But with her rendition of Bubbly, Blake didn't need another second to push that button. I doubted that she could make it to the battles, much less the final round, but with her outstanding talent and artistry, she had proved me wrong. So yeah, she grew on me during the competition and she blew my mind away with her take on "Heartless". So when I saw that she would be coming over, I immediately contacted my friends and we bought tickets to see her and her sister, Meg perform songs. It was an intimate experience, a very good size of crowd that you could still sway to the songs they're singing. Plus, you get to meet up with them after the concert - not necessarily chat and hang with them, but still, a photo taken with them.. AWESOME! (this is actually the reason for the delay, I waited for the photo to be published)

Anyway, here are some of the clips I've taken to share with the world.. No Autotune and lip -sync which made attending their concert worth the money.

Wake Me Up

Heartless
(This performance alone made the concert ticket worth the price)

Donate: World Food Programme

I have to say this once and for all, Thank you for all  the people who have helped my fellow countrymen during super-typhoon Haiyan. It is during this time we saw how the world could be together in times of disaster and suffering.Thank you very much.

But the lives of those affected cannot be back to normal in just 3 months. I would've celebrated if that's the case, but we need to accept the reality, their rehabilitation will take longer than 3 months of free food and temporary shelter. Until today, they haven't restored the affected cities. Some have already evacuated to different cities, and looking for a job they can get to continue living. Others, they chose to stay to rebuild their houses and their lives in the same ground. It is during this time we need to continue our support for their rehabilitation. Especially the children who are affected by this unthinkable tragedy. They need food, they need shelter, they need to restore their health - both physically and mentally. Though, the donation drives have stopped, we can still help them through the very easy and eligible way - donations thru World Food Programme. Also, if you wish to donate to other cause they have, you may as well. I am promoting this as our little way in extending our hands and help to others in need. With our busy schedule,  it is hard to extend a hand. With only a few clicks, you can donate any amount (literally, any amount - either big or small) to those people who don't have the money to buy food. Imagine, for as low as USD25 you can already give a hungry community one decent meal. And that amount is so little, it's probably lesser than what you pay for a nice appetizer in a Michelin-Star restaurant. All I am saying is that, there is a way to help out even with us having no time in doing the actual work of giving out the goods and in our own little way.

When you donate to the World Food Programme, we immediately put your generosity to work fighting hunger.
Depending on the fund you select, you can help save lives during an emergency or give children nutritious meals in school.
Bottom line – we can’t do any of this without you. WFP is 100% voluntarily funded, so every donation counts.
Make your donation today, and we’ll keep you updated on how you’re helping build a world free from hunger.

Here's how I did my donation. I told you it's only a few clicks away.

1. Click on this link:  https://give.wfp.org/?step=country&lead_source=2014-wfp-donateheader&form_tag=2014-wfp-donateheader

2. Fillout the details on the form

3. Pay (step 5 of the form) - Credit Cards are accepted.

Repost: OUR CIRCUMSTANCES ARE DESIGNED TO BENEFIT US

Do you ever believe in the saying "Everything happens for a reason?" I bet it's hard to see it that way when you are in a difficult situation. Who would like to believe that when you are suffering, it is for your benefit? For your own good? But it is insanely true. I for one have my fair share of difficulties in life that whenever I look back to those days, and where I am now, I can say that I have benefited to those moments. For example, I had a difficulty in looking for a non-support job in Singapore; it took me months and several support role offers before this incredible role came to my plate. Thinking about it, that couple of months made me question my capabilities which at this point helped me realize that I can be better. During those months that I knew how my loved ones (close friends included) believe in me which was more than how I believed in myself. See! not only did I realize that I can be better; but I need to believe in myself too. So these months of difficulty benefited my soul and my mind in a way I could not get from attending seminars and classes.

Here is an article from thedailylove about how circumstances benefit us. Another food for the soul.

---
It can sometimes be a tough thing to accept that the conditions and experiences that come into our lives are there to benefit us.
I thought I had dodged the bullet with my acting out behaviors but there was huge payback. I could never escape myself. I stopped seeing Source/Uni-verse/Higher Power/God in others and instead objectified them. My coping mechanisms hurt myself and others but at the time I just refused to see that there would ever be a payback. If you don’t acknowledge the heart and soul of others you lose your own heart and soul and that itself is lofty compensation.
Obstacles and difficulties in our lives are just an indication that we are either refusing to let go of what we no longer need or we are refusing to accept that which we need to enhance our greater good and the good of others.
Nothing comes our way that isn’t completely necessary for our growth and unfoldment. (Tweet-worthy!) Obstacles will continue to come our way until we realize their wisdom and use them as motivation for further growth.
Personal growth is about the exchange of the old to make way for the new. It’s about giving up our good to make space for our greater good. We cannot get what we want in our lives if we hold on firmly to that which is no longer serving us.
“We reap what we sow,” is Uni-versal law. What is also law is that we gain strength and power in exact proportion to the efforts we expend to overcome our difficulties.
Personal growth demands that we put our biggest efforts into what is in perfect alignment with our greater good. It’s like focusing on that one focused “Main Thing” which is the traction point for growing a business or enhancing a romantic relationship.
The Law of Attraction, which is also the Law of Love, is what manifests the material into our external worlds. It follows then that love is the quality that brings vitality to our thoughts and enables them to become supercharged, empowered, manifestation machines!
The first thing that follows a thought is a sound and those sounds make up our words. This is why the words we choose are vitally important to our spiritual wellbeing. Our words are the first initial manifestation of our thoughts. Our words are the vessels that transport our thoughts. This is why it is no spiritual cliché that the words we use about ourselves and others are vitally important. We should always be on guard for using words that are in any way negating or limiting of ourselves and others.
Thoughts, supported by words, drive our actions. Our actions express our thoughts into visible or material things. Words are thoughts becoming things.
If we want to create harmonious conditions in our worlds, then it follows that we should only entertain harmonious thoughts.
If we want to create abundance in our worlds, we should think only of abundance.
Unfortunately the reverse is also true. We cannot escape the negating mental pictures we constantly force into our subconscious minds. And because words are our thoughts expressed as sound, it makes sense that we should be constantly alert to use nothing but constructive and positive language.
We will manifest more of the things that support our greater good when we raise our levels of consciousness and become aware of the words we use.
Choose your thoughts and words wisely.
It’s no metaphysical platitude that thoughts become things.
It’s a Uni-versal law.
I now see how those things that challenged me were in fact my life’s greatest gift and they were  signposts that were pointing me in the direction home.
So, can you accept that the tough things that come your way are there to teach and serve you?
Would you be willing to risk letting go of the old to make way for the new?
Could you trust that love is the quality that adds vitality to your thoughts and by thinking loving thoughts so you will become a supercharged, manifestation machine?

Throwback: Sweet 18

I still remember the whole event – the event I chose over a brand new car. Yes, back then I was asked if instead of a Debutante Party, I would be given a shiny car as a gift. For others, it may have been an easy choice, of course the car; but for me, I chose an experience, a once in a lifetime experience (come on! we only get to be eighteen once) I had a wonderful Debutante Party. Besides, I was only a train ride away from UST (from end to end), why would I drive a car during the peak hours and say hello to heavy flow of traffic every day? Also, I would not cut down my allowance for what? Gasoline and parking? Nah, I’d rather take the train every day and eat a feast with buddies. Also, the main reason why I chose the party was because it was a dream of my sister and my mother for me to have one. My sister kinda pushed the idea to me since hers was overshadowed by the christening of our baby brother and that it was my mother’s dream to give her daughter a grand debutante party. So with that alone, I chose the wonderful party – one of the best memories of my teenage years I must say.

It was a simple party – really. A very typical debutante party I must say; me wearing a gown; invited close friends and classmates; good feast; eighteen gifts, shots and dance. But for me, it was something extraordinary, a success. Because I was the main organizer of the whole party – the menu, the invitations, the guestlist, the programme, the place and even the gown – my design came to life. At that time, when everything fell into place, I knew that I can be an event organizer (for those who are interested with my service, you can just drop me an email. HAHA). Anyway, the best thing about it, I saw the love and the sincere smiles from all of my loved ones. I saw the happiness in my mother’s eyes when I was walking towards my “throne” (one of her dreams came true). I saw the love from all the first guys I love (my father and brothers). And finally, I saw how happy my friends were that I turned eighteen. HAHA. One of the perks of being eighteen, booze is legal – my mother was even eyeing me when she saw me with a bottle of Red Wine after the party.

It was an experience to remember. I was a princess for that day – all eyes were on me and my curly hair in that pink dress. What do you think? Was I fabulous?

When in Singapore: Teh Tarik

Weird thing that I always try writing about what to do or what to experience in Singapore on the day I need to post one. Yes, I am trying to write future blog entries as much as I can so the entries will be more thought of  and elaborately written and explained. But with this category, I am finding inspiration on the day itself. I think the reason is because I am truly experiencing Singapore. I am trying to share what Singapore is in the eyes of a resident so that tourists would know beforehand what needs to be tried and what needs to be experienced in this small but incredible country. So right now, needless to say, I am sharing something I have tried just this morning - Teh Tarik ( you probably can get it in Malaysia too!).

This is a hot milk tea beverage which can be commonly found in restaurants, outdoor stalls and Kopitiams in Southeastern Asian countries of Malaysia and Singapore. Its name is derived from the pouring process of "pulling" the drink during preparation. It is made from black teacondensed milk and/or evaporated milk. Sounds familiar right? Well this is a more economical but equally delicious if not more (since this is pretty much freshly-made when you order one) as the milk teas that you are getting from Gong Cha, KOI & Chatime - less the pearls. This is the best partner for your Kaya Toast (another favourite of course) for your authentic Singapore Breakfast.

So when in Singapore don't ever forget to get a sip of this hot & sweet drink to start your day with a smile.

Book: Slammed

Let me continue with introducing you the books of one of my favourite authors, Colleen Hoover. This time, I will share the first book I have read from her – Slammed. Okay, this is another Contemporary Romance novel that I have read, but this is exceptionally written. It is because of this book that made me think of how genius of a writer Colleen Hoover is. I mean, I have read a lot of books, literally a lot. They made my heart hurt; they made me sad; they made me cry. But Colleen did not only make me feel all of these feelings; she also inspired me to write poems again (and even listen to Avett Brothers!).    This book does not only contain the story; it contains a lot of poems that can make you feel more.

Following the unexpected death of her father, 18-year-old Layken is forced to be the rock for both her mother and younger brother. Outwardly, she appears resilient and tenacious, but inwardly, she's losing hope.
Enter Will Cooper: The attractive, 21-year-old new neighbor with an intriguing passion for slam poetry and a unique sense of humor. Within days of their introduction, Will and Layken form an intense emotional connection, leaving Layken with a renewed sense of hope.
Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Daily interactions become impossibly painful as they struggle to find a balance between the feelings that pull them together, and the secret that keeps them apart.

Here are some of the exceptional poems and passages from the book.

“Life happens. Shit happens. And it happens a lot. To a lot of people.”

“Sometimes life gets in your way.
it gets all up in your damn way.
But it doesn't get all up in your damn way
because it wants you to just give up and let it take control.
Life doesn't get all up in your damn way because it just wants you to hand it allover and be carried along.

Life wants you to fight it
Learn how to make it your own.
it wants you to grab and axe and hack through the wood.
It wants you to get a sledgehammer and break through concrete.
It wants you to grab a torch and burn through the metal and steel until you can reach through and grab it.

Life wants you to grab all the organized, the alphabetized, thechronological, the sequenced. It wants you to mix it all together,
stir it up,
blend it.”

“Don't take life too seriously. Punch it in the face when it needs a good hit. Laugh at it.”

“Push your boundaries, that's what they're there for.

“Question everything. Your love, your religion, your passions. If you don't have questions, you'll never find answers.”

“Keep an open mind; it's the only way new things can get in.”

“respect the hand that I was dealt. And to be grateful I was even dealt a hand.”

Love Month

It’s love month again and I see hearts everywhere. I am now feeling the love vibe. Are you feeling it too? If not, here are some of the most feel good love songs of all time. I don’t feel like posting this on the 14th, it will be a cliché or too cheesy. So publishing this four days before will be less cheesy but still appropriate for the season. Come on! Valentines may not be an official holiday, but everyone is celebrating it, some with flowers on their hands; others, just plain dinner with someone special. So, I still need to post something to remind everyone to love with all their hearts.

Start the week right being in love, or feeling loved. Let these songs help you with it.

The Philippines says Thank You

I have a ready entry for publishing today, but let's skip it for this special message from the Filipino Nation to the world. The Philippines says Thank You to everyone who have helped our fellow Filipinos affected by the super typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Exactly three months ago, Haiyan devastated the center of the Philippine archipelago destroying not only properties, but thousands of lives. During this moment, we have witnessed how the rest of the world responded - from other countries' government assistance; private efforts from multinational companies to children donating their piggy banks to help those people in need. There's no help that's small. From the bottom of our hearts, please accept our sincere Thank You. Salamat for the love you have shared with us during this time and please know that we will never forget it.
Maraming Salamat.

Here's the special video made by our Department of Tourism to officially thank YOU.

It's More Fun in the Philippines

This is the latest slogan to promote to the world the
Pearl of the Orient Seas, my country, The Philippines. Catchy isn't it? Probably a big statement to fill but you should see what the Philippines can offer. A country of more than seven thousand islands, with different experiences to offer you - relaxation, adventure, party, city life or simply fun. I am working overseas now, I can say I haven't travelled the whole of the Philippines, but I will never be a foreigner to my country. Given the chance, once in a while, island per island, I will try to visit and experience the whole country. A paradise that could not be destroyed even by the worst typhoon ever made landfall (special mention: Haiyan). It is in the Philippines where you can see one of the new seven wonders of nature: Puerto Princesa's Underground River in Palawan (which is also considered the world's longest navigable underground river). It is in our country you can see the world's smallest active volcano, Taal Volcano; the "Perfect cone" volcano, Mayon Volcano; one of CNN's best surf spots in the world: Siargao; one of the best beaches in the world, Boracay; and recently the number one of the 35 clearest waters in the world you need to swim in before you die article by Daily News Dig, Linacapan Island in Palawan. Our country is also the home of the biggest eagle, the Philippine Monkey-Eating Eagle; the smallest primate, tarsier; the biggest fish, the whale shark;and the world's smallest hoofed animal, the Philippine Mouse Deer. And a lot more things and facts that if I go on, this entry will be a novel.

With the help of social media, the slogan became popular especially when Filipinos are joining in to promote the country, using their own photos taken from every place they've been to and every festival they have been a part of. Here are some of the photos (with the It's more fun in the Philippines) and the official video of this tourism effort - a very cool one.

What's more fun in the Philippines? Here are some of the exceptional things my clever fellow Filipinos came up with.

Of course, every country has a rough side. We have cities and all the associated problems that one cannot avoid, such as heavy traffic. But isn't it a fact to any place affected by civilization and modernization? However, what I am promoting is the fact that the Philippines is still a paradise. One city cannot identify the whole country. One must go out of the city, go to the provinces/islands and experience something extraordinary; something spectacular and that is, being mesmerized by the beauty of the 7107 islands.
