Unbelievable, unthinkable and unimaginable twists. These are
the words I am going to associate with this series. Again, this is not your
typical CIA plot wherein the protagonist will capture bad men who are lurking
around New York (though I am watching this type of series too). Homeland is
different. It’s all about a Marine (Nick Brody) who returns to the United
States after eight years of captivity in Iraq. Everyone treats him as a hero but, intelligence
officer, Carrie Mathison suspects him that he may have been “turned”. So the story circles around Carrie doing an investigation to
Brody to prove that he is a threat to the United States while the rest of
America considers him a hero. Interesting, isn’t it?
This political thriller series is based from
the Israeli Series Hatufim (English title: Prisoners of War), which was created
by Gideon Raff.
Here's the trailer of this series. Hope you'll enjoy it. Don't worry, it just have 3 seasons to date, you can still catch up before the airing of Season 4. This will not win best tv series consecutively for 3 years now (Emmy & Golden Globes) if this is not super awesome.
